About the CySA+ exam
CompTIA CySA+ (CS0-003) certifies intermediate security analyst skills focused on threat detection and response — security operations, vulnerability management, incident response and management, and reporting/communication. CompTIA recommends three to four years of hands-on security experience, positioning it between Security+ and more advanced analyst-level certifications. The exam is up to 85 questions (multiple choice and performance-based) over 165 minutes, and most candidates spend two to three months preparing.
