About SSC Stenographer Exam
The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the SSC Stenographer Exam in order to recruit eligible candidates for Grade C and Grade D posts across various ministries and departments in the Indian Government. Many candidates fill out the application form for the exam in hopes of securing a future in the government sector.
Eligibility
Interested candidates need to fulfil the following criteria in order to be able to appear for the SSC Stenographer exam-
- For Grade C, candidates need to be within the age limit of 18-30 years of age
- For Grade D, candidates need to be within the age limit of 18-27 years of age
- Candidate must have passed his/ her 12th Standard from a government recognized institution, or its equivalent exam
Exam Pattern
SSC conducts the Stenographer exam in 2 levels.
The first level exam for Grade C and Grade D comprises a multiple choice paper and the exam is conducted online.
The second level of the exam is a skill test where the qualifying candidates are tested in various domains by the SSC.
Syllabus And Weightage
The syllabus for SSC Stenographer Exam is as follows
- General Awareness: 50 questions, 50 marks
- English Language and Comprehension: 100 questions, 100 marks
- General Intelligence and Reasoning: 50 questions, 50 marks
Candidates have a total 2 hours to complete the 200 marks paper.
