About SSC MTS Tier-I Exam
The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts Multi-Tasking Staff, MTS Exam to recruit eligible Group C staff. The various posts where selected candidates are appointed are as follows-
- Peon
- Draftary
- Jamadar
- Junior Gestetner Operator
- Chowkidar
- Safaiwala
- Mali, etc.
Eligibility
Interested candidates need to fulfil the following criteria in order to appear for the SSC MTS Tier-I Exam-
- Is of Indian nationality
- Within the age group of 18-25 or 18-27
- Has the educational qualification of completing 10th standard, or its equivalent exam
Exam Pattern
The SSC MTS Exam is conducted in three phases. The three phases are as follows-
- Paper 1: objective type with multiple choices and is held online
- Paper 2: descriptive type and is offline
- Paper 3: this is a skills test and is taken as per candidates convenience
Syllabus
The SSC MTS exam’s Paper 1 syllabus is as follows-
- Reasoning: 25 questions
- English Language: 25 questions
- Numerical Aptitude: 25 questions
- General Awareness: 25 questions
Candidates have a total 90 minutes to complete the paper.
The syllabus for Paper 2, the descriptive paper, is as follows-
- A Short Essay/ Letter in English or Any Language Included in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution: 50 marks
Candidates have a total of 30 minutes to complete the paper.
