About SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam
The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the SSC CGL Exam in order to recruit staff for various posts in different Ministries, Department, and Subordinate Offices across India. The SSC CGL, Combined Graduate Level Exam is held in four phases-
- Tier-I
- Tier-II
- Tier-III
- Tier-IV
Eligibility
Interested candidates who wish to appear for the SSC CGL Tier-I Exam must fulfill the following criteria-
- Have a Bachelor's degree, or are in their final year
- He/She is an Indian citizen
- Is within the age limit of 20-30
Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam will be conducted online. The SSC CGL Tier-2 exam comprises 4 papers. The individual marks of each of the papers is 200.
Subject And Their Weightage
The 4 papers of the SSC CGL Tier-2 Exam are as follows-
- Paper I- Quantitative Ability: 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
- Paper II- English Language and Comprehension: 200 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
- Paper III- Statistics: 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
- Paper IV- General Studies (Finance and Economics): 100 questions, 200 marks, 2 hours
For every wrong answer in Paper II, there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks. In case of wrong answers in Paper I, Paper III, and Paper IV, 0.50 marks are deducted.
