About SSC CGL Tier-I Exam
The Staff Selection Commission of India conducts the SSC CGL Exam in order to recruit staff for various posts in different Ministries, Department, and Subordinate Offices across India. The SSC CGL, Combined Graduate Level Exam is held in four phases-
- Tier-I
- Tier-II
- Tier-III
- Tier-IV
Eligibility
Interested candidates who wish to appear for the SSC CGL Tier-I Exam must fulfill the following criteria-
- Have a Bachelor's degree, or are in their final year
- He/She is an Indian citizen
- Is within the age limit of 20-30
Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier-I Exam will be conducted online. Candidates have to attempt 100 questions and the total marks of the paper is 200. The exam is of the duration of 60 minutes.
Subjects And Their Weightage
Aspirants will have to attempt the following sections while appearing for the SSC CGL Tier-I Exam-
- General Intelligence and Reasoning- 25 questions, 50 marks
- General Awareness- 25 questions, 50 marks
- Quantitative Aptitude- 25 questions, 50 marks
- English Comprehension- 25 questions, 50 marks
For every wrong answer, 0.50 marks will be deducted.
