The Railway Recruitment Board, RRB, conducts Railway NTPC exam to give the opportunity to aspirants who would like to secure a future for themselves in the Indian Railways.

The RRB NTPC exam is conducted for the Non-Technical Popular Categories such as-

-         Junior Clerk cum Typist

-         Accounts Clerk cum Typist

-         Junior Time Keeper

-         Trains Clerk

-         Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

-         Traffic Assistant

-         Goods Guard

-         Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk

-         Senior Clerk cum Typist

-         Junior Account Assistant cum Typist

-         Senior Time Keeper

-         Commercial Apprentice

-         Station Master

The candidates who will succeed to crack the exam and secure a job for themselves can get posted in any place across India.

Vacancy

For the NTPC positions, there are a total 35,208 seats as of 2021.

There is a division for Undergraduate posts and Graduate posts, and depending on the rank and eligibility the seats are allocated accordingly.

Eligibility

For the Undergraduate posts, the candidate must have passed Class 12 Board exam, or any equivalent exam, and is within the age group of 18 to 33.

In case of the Graduate posts, the candidate must hold the minimum educational qualification of a University degree, or its equivalent. Here also the candidate must be within the age group of 18 to 33.

Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The aspirants appearing for the RRB NTPC Exam will be tested in the following area-

-         First Stage of Computer Based Test (CBT)

-         Second Stage of CBT

-         Typing Test, or Aptitude Test

-         Document Verification

-         Medical Examination

The exam is conducted online. The First Stage of CBT is conducted for screening the aspirants. The exam is for 90 minutes for all except PWD candidates who are given 120 minutes.

One mark is allotted for every right answer and 0.25 mark is deducted for every wrong answer.

Subjects

The subjects and their individual weightage for the RRB NTPC Exam are as follows-

-         Mathematics- 30 questions, 30 marks

-         General Intelligence and Reasoning- 30 questions, 30 marks

-         General Awareness- 40 questions, 40 marks

The exam is of 100 marks in total.
