The Reserve Bank of India conducts the Assistant Exam every year in order to recruit candidates for the post of Assistants in various branches. Aspirants appearing for the RBI Assistant Exam have the chance to secure their future in one of the most prestigious government organisations in India.
Eligibility
To the candidates who would like to appear for the RBI Assistant Exam, here are some of the requirements one needs to meet to be able to appear for the exam-
- Is within the age limit of 20-28 years
- Has a Bachelor’s degree with an aggregate score of 50% in any relevant field
- Has knowledge of computer
- Is fluent in the official language
Exam Pattern
The RBI Assistant Exam is conducted in three phases-
- Prelims
- Mains
- Language Proficiency Test
The three phases of the exam are conducted online.
Subjects And Their Weightage
The Prelims of the RBI Assistant Exam is a screening test to shortlist candidates for the Mains and Language Proficiency Test. The final selection is made according to the results in the Mains and Language Proficiency Test.
The syllabus for the Prelims is-
- English Language- 30 questions, 30 marks
- Numerical Ability- 35 questions, 35 marks
- Reasoning Ability- 35 questions, 35 marks
In total, the Prelims is of 100 marks for which the candidate is assigned 1 hour to complete the exam.
The syllabus for the Mains is-
- English Language- 40 questions, 40 marks, 30 minutes
- Quantitative Aptitude- 40 questions, 40 marks, 30 minutes
- Reasoning Ability- 40 questions, 40 marks, 30 minutes
- Computer Knowledge- 40 questions, 40 marks, 20 minutes
- General Awareness- 40 question, 40 marks, 25 minutes
The candidates who are selected after the Prelims and Mains exam will have to appear for the Language Proficiency Test.
