The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection conducts the Probationary Officers exam in order to recruit eligible candidates for the posts of Probationary Officers in various public sector banks in India. This is one of the most prestigious banking exams in India and is conducted every year.
Eligibility
Interested candidates who would like to appear for the IBPS PO Mains Exam need to fulfil the following criterias-
- Is of Indian nationality
- Is within the age group of 20-30 years
- Has a Graduate degree in any relevant field from a Government recognized University, or its equivalent
- Is knowledgeable about Computers
Exam Pattern
The IBPS PO exam is conducted in three phases-
- Preliminary Exam
- Mains Exam
- Interview
The Prelims and Mains exams are conducted online.
Syllabus And Weightage
The IBPS PO Mains Exam consists the following syllabus-
- Reasoning and Computer Aptitude- 45 question, 60 marks, 60 minutes
- English Language- 35 questions, 40 marks, 40 minutes
- Data Analysis and Interpretation- 35 question, 60 marks, 45 minutes
- General Economy and Banking Awareness- 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
- English Language (Letter Writing and Essay)- 2 questions, 25 marks, 30 minutes
